It’s not every day that one of the Tryb community is awarded an MBE but that’s exactly what happened to @iamisaacharvey at the end of 2022!
Born with a condition called hypoplasia, which means he has no arms and short legs, Isaac is President of Wheels and Wheelchairs - a group of London-based skaters and wheelchair users who come together to enjoy the sensory rush of speed and accessible sport.
He’s also, among many other things, a disability advocate and an Honorary Freeman of the London Borough of Redbridge.
Back in December Isaac was appointed MBE for his outstanding achievements and services to people with disabilities. “I don't think it has truly sunk in yet. I'm just a normal bloke from East London in a wheelchair. I don't do what I do for recognition and rewards. However, those things do prove that not only can people with disabilities achieve greatness in life, but that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.” ️
